Why should I use Hydrosol System to derouge and passivate clean steam generators?
Clean steam is susceptible to rouging and magnetite. Magnetite is a mineral that is a type of iron oxide. It has naturally magnetic properties and is attracted by a magnet and is the most magnetic of all minerals on Earth. Accumulation of mill scale caused by magnetite is very common in clean steam systems. This can be a dense layer on the surface of the steel and can be very susceptible to corrosion and cracking. Derouging and passivation removes magnetite and provides a passive layer which helps prevent premature corrosion.
Clean steam systems should be cleaned preoperational to remove any construction debris or impurities. Systems should also be routinely passivated to ensure scale and corrosion do not cause equipment failure and costly downtime.
